MY DAZE

You come home from a meeting, ready to pee your pants, and are making a mad dash for the toilet. You can hear the thump, thump, thump of your toddler running after you, crying thankful sobs that you have come back after leaving him with his father for an entire two hours. You sit down and start to "go" as your toddler tries desperately to climb under your shirt, continuing to sob. He cries harder (while you are peeing) and is ready to give up and just nurse your t-shirt as he is so happy that you are home, yet still so miserable that you dared to leave at all. You finish up, flush, and bend down to pick him up.
Yet you realize he is totally fine! All of his problems have been resolved as he merrily waves to the toilet, says "bye-bye", and smiles.
