MY DAZE

...of our best attempts at holiday family pics.



These are probably not the greatest shots, but with kids going every which way on a tree farm, I'll take what I can get. We were muddy, the children didn't want to get too close to mama or look anywhere towards the direction of the camera. It was just a hard day. For instance, in the top photograph, my head is cut off. After chasing slime covered kids down and BEGGING them to participate, I will deal with my head being cut off. I will look back on these family holiday pics someday and remember how bittersweet raising little ones can be. The sad part is that these will probably make me smile in years to come and I will only remember the sweet times. I will ooohhh and aawwww over how adorable a mud-covered 2 year old can be. I can only hope that one of my friends will be nearby to slap me in the back of the head to remember the not-so-fun parts of crazed little ones playing in mudholes.
